Hiking is one of my favorite hobbies, so naturally I wanted to hike the so called easy hike to behind the Hollywood sign. Perhaps we should of done some more research and been a little smarter because that hike was hell (the pics made it worth it though).
Bex and I somehow found ourselves lost on a simple three mile hike ending the day feeling lost, burned, and dehydrated (it was 97 degrees). Nine hard, dangerous miles later (and the worst sunburns and scraps imaginable) we made it. We then realized we started at the wrong point--a point that isn't meant to be hiked in it's entirety-- this made our journey back to civilization a short three miles and a quick Uber ride back to the car. If I learned one thing about this day it is BRING SUNSCREEN EVERYWHERE. My shoulders and back and still suffering. Needless to say, I will never hike a mountain without a (well-discussed) plan, food, or sunscreen again.
